Meet Sophia
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with an master’s of science in social work (MSSW) degree from the University of Texas at Austin dedicated to walking with people in transition - something has happened, and you are learning how to cope, you are ready to begin processing pain that is weighing you down, or you want to change the way your life is going.

I offer a safe and empowering trauma informed space to work with anxiety, depression, and the stress that comes with big life transitions like moving, launching a new career, experiencing burnout, relationship difficulties, or having children. I have experience working with self-esteem issues, anger, setting boundaries in relationships, detachment from others, trauma, sexual violence, codependency, stress, and women’s issues. I engage in continued clinical training on the latest evidence-based treatments to make sure that I am providing you with the best up to date care possible.
No one person is the same as any other, and there isn’t one type of therapy that works for everyone. Our early sessions will consist of working together until we find what feels and works best for you. We will try self-compassion and mindfulness exercises, internal family systems or “parts” work, cognitive behavioral exercises, or solutions-focused brief therapy. We will also explore the systems that have informed your identity - ethnicity, class, race, religion, gender, sexuality, education, and culture. I operate from a human strengths’ perspective centered viewpoint, believing that everyone has the strength and wisdom within themselves they need to get better, and that my job is to help you access those strengths.
