I’m Sarah Myers, LMSW Associate and I’m excited to be starting my private practice journey under the supervision of Michele Purvin, LCSW-S, LCDC. I bring years of diverse experience, knowledge and enthusiasm, to support you or your child's growth and personal development. My background is advocating for children and families in the public school system as an educator and school social worker.
I am now accepting new clients for psychotherapy in person or online. |
I believe in starting with you wherever you are in your stage of life. My practice philosophy is rooted in the strengths perspective where you can find a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings and build self-awareness. We will work together to change behaviors, thoughts and beliefs that no longer work for you.
I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapist. I can help you gain perspective, direction, and healing in your life again. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to help meet your mental health needs and build on your current strengths. If you or your loved one are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, challenging behaviors, and major life changes, I can help. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help you discover your strengths and build healthy coping and communication skills.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and finding a river or creek to splash in. I look forward to meeting with you, and discussing how I can best help you reach your goals to live your best life.
