What can you expect from me?

Clinical Social Work Supervision
I take the relationship between supervisee and supervisor very seriously as it is a unique one built on trust and mutual understanding. I am a psychodynamic therapist who is engaging, encouraging and uses an integrative developmental model combined with a strengths-based approach to supervision. My hope is to provide you with a supportive, safe space where you can develop your clinical skills and find answers to your challenging cases. I bring my extensive experience and training to the supervision room:

  • cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, trauma-informed, motivational therapy and the 12-Step transformational model with individuals experiencing substance use issues with co-occurring disorders.
  • grief and bereavement hospice experience with children and adults.
  • administrative and ethical experience from the perspective of working for a variety of non-profit agencies and integrated health clinics.
  • teaching and mentoring undergraduate students at the school of social work at Texas State University.
We might be a good fit if you:
  • are ready to begin your 3,000 hours of practice and 100 hours of clinical supervision over a minimum of 2 years
  • are employed in a setting that offers you 1:1 clinical hours or interesting in seeing clients at my practice
  • are interested in private practice and psychotherapy
  • invested in your own professional and personal development
  • open to exploring new ideas and techniques
  • are curious and open to feedback
